I like the new commercials, got kinda teary eyed cuz I'm a sap. :)
I was lucky, I have an athletic mom who understands what it means to fight on or off the field to be on an even playing field. But as the poster before me said, there are still people who have to beg to play. Honestly, the mentality in the industry/the game has just recently changed over to include women's shtuff. My best friend used to buy men's running shoes because they were just better than women's.

Shanks again for the link to the videos!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27390748.post-18310928161260339052008-03-07T17:39:00.000-05:002008-03-07T17:39:00.000-05:00You have to remember that (believe it or not) ther...You have to remember that (believe it or not) there are still people/families out there who don't want their daughters playing sports. We had a girl in college whose dad never let her do anything and we basically had to teach her how to run.

I have cousins in TX who weren't allowed to play sports. Consequently they came to watch Sweet 16's in Austin and were basically appalled at what they were watching.

Though we shouldn't have to beg...there are plenty of people who still must, sad as it is...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
